中国华粮物流集团新良海运有限公司最早成立于1996年1月,在海南省洋浦工商局登记注册，注册资金800万元人民币。公司原名为洋浦中谷新良海运有限公司。根据国务院和国家有关部委的文件批复，公司于2008年1月1日由中谷粮油集团公司划归中国华粮物流集团公司直接领导和管理。
公司在国家利用世界银行贷款粮食流通项目中，利用世行贷款1782万美元建造并经营4艘姊妹船，每艘船载重吨为4371吨（总载重吨17484吨）或可载运231个标准集装箱。公司还并配有700个20英尺国际标准集装箱。
公司总部设在北京，下设办公室、人力资源部、财务部、航运部、安监室、ISM办公室、机务部、船员管理部、发展规划部、粮食贸易部，编制人员38人。公司在北京和天津设有货运代理分公司，在海口设有办事处。
根据市场定位，公司四艘姊妹船舶主要从事中、日、韩近洋航线的外贸货物运输。根据中国华粮物流集团公司的部署，公司开展内贸散粮货物“一站式”铁海联运业务。此外，公司还经营货运代理、船舶代管、船员劳务和粮食贸易等业务。

Xinliang Shipping Co., Ltd. of China Grains and Logistics Corporation, approved by the Hainan Yangpu Administrative Bureau of Industry and commercial, was initially established in January 1996 with registered capital eight million RMB Yuan. The Company’s original name was Yangpu Zhonggu Xinliang Co.,Ltd. and was put under the direct administration of China Grains and Logistics Corporation from China Grains and Oils Group Corporation on January 1st, 2008, according to the documents of the State Council and several Ministries of the State.
The company, in the State Project of National Grain-circulation with World Bank Loans, made use of loans of seventeen million and eighty-two thousand USD to build and manage 4 sister cargo ships，each deadweight is 4371 m/t (total 17484 m/t) or can carry 231 TEU.
The headquarters of the Company is set up in Beijing and has ten departments, namely Administrative Office, Dept. of Personal, Dept. of Finance, Dept. of Shipping, Safety Supervision Office, ISM Office, Dept. of Engineering, Dept. of Seafarer, Dept. of Develop-planning and Dept. of Grains-trading with total 38 staff. Besides, the Company has Beijing branch office of freight agent, Tianjin branch office of freight agent and Haikou Office.
The Company’s own sister-ships are presently engaged in，as its fixed market position，trading area of China-Japan-South Korea for foreign-trade-cargo transportation. According to the arrangement of China Grains and Logistics Corporation, the Company carries out “a coordinated process” domestic bulk grains shipping transportation in the joint transportation of rail-ocean. In addition, the Company also manages the business of freight and forwarding, seaman service and grain-trading.
